In My Skin – Day 88

Size:  14

Exercise:  Walked 4 miles on the treadmill.

Did you know that I can eat a whole lunch consisting of various sushi and sashimi for under 350 calories and get completely stuffed.  When one serving of Jalapeno Poppers is 460 calories!  Crazy!  I only ate one of those Poppers and left the other 4 in the serving in the container.  Forget that!  I would rather have a nice Caesar Salad with fresh Mozzarella and a Beer for what those damn Poppers put in my body.  Good thing I don’t do fast food very often.  My Husband just grabbed lunch for he and the Boys and they threw in the Poppers, because they made extra for another customer by accident.  Glad I looked them up after eating only one.

As of today I have lost 5 pounds and that is after I went all the way back up to 189, my highest and scare-the-shit-out-of-myself-weight.  So glad it is coming off and I hope that I can keep it up.  I am hoping that this Bodybugg was the ticket to control for myself.  The knowledge is just there for me right on the computer screen.  I love that!

I went to watch one of my Boys Mammal Report Programs today and when I stood-up my left knee started clicking inside.  I hope that is short-lived.  It is pretty annoying.  I had surgery on it almost 20 years ago and it has been wonderful thus far.  Crossing my fingers this is just a one day thing.

The treadmill felt great this morning.  I did get really, really bad shin splints in my right leg again in the beginning though.  I found if I just stop and stretch for a moment and massage that area as well, then keep walking at just a slower pace it goes away after a mile, or two.  Thank goodness it did!  🙂

  1. I’m very curious to know how you like the BodyBugg. Congrats on the 5 lbs. That’s a great feeling to know you’ve actually accomplished something and are on the right track. Keep it up girl! I also agree with you, it’s INSANE how one small thing can be the same amount of calories as a whole healthy meal. I’ll take more of the healthy foods please! 🙂

      So far I love the BodyBugg. Today will be my 5th day using it. I love that it is so informative and really helps me with my calorie intake. On the flip-side it is amazing to see how my body is burning for the day. I think that is what I was really lacking since I have always been such a healthy eater. Check out the website and it shows some pretty good tutorials.

      Thank you for the encouragement as well. I have a lot to go, but am hoping that this is the beginning to climbing back down that ladder. I never knew that hormones could be such a huge factor as you get a bit older. I have held on to my figure and take great care of my skin, I am a just bit larger. 🙂
